The first Friday since Watson’s gone that I haven’t posted for him. Not usually one to want to or enjoy putting things online.... but we are still heartbroken that our boy is missing! I couldn’t focus on it again as it is just to much sometimes. Then I went mtb today, a route done with him before and memories of how happy he was and just so many cool things about him and how much he made me smile came into my head, I felt like I’d let him down ? so I’m posting!!! Watson was walking with 2 other family dogs, leaving directly from home onto a fell he knows so well. He just went out of sight and didn’t return to the whistle in which he is trained to do. He went missing on the 14th December, 3pm. Lily mere fell sedbergh. There were sightings 2 weeks later but never any confirmed to be Watson. We did everything we could in the early hours/days and repeated it whenever there was a possible sighting. We searched forests in lines, we drove 100s of miles, we walked every boundary, waded every puddle, called every game keeper, alerted every farmer, had drones out 3 days and more, locals walked miles for us, posted on dog lost, made this page, spoke to a wonderful lady lee Herron for advice, left scents out and food, slept in my camper nearby (he’d know it), walked all nearby footpaths, local newspapers, radio I could go on!!! All I can do is find the strength to reply to you and ask that in return you share his page. If you know anyone who doesn’t have Facebook in this area and may have missed it please spread the word. If someone has bought or acquired a new dog like watty please check it out. He is chipped and up to date, he is an utter legend and our family member. He was such a big part of our world!!!! ...
